SAGNA BACKS ARTETA’S AUBAMEYANG DECISION

Former Arsenal and Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna has revealed what he thinks about his former side Arsenal selling star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the January winter transfer window. The striker was allowed to join BRcelija before the transfer deadline day and it caused quite a stir among Arsenal fans, with some questioning the club’s decision to do that, while others backed tothe decision.

Sagna has backed Arsenal’s ‘strong’ decision to let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave the club in January. The Gabon international was stripped of the captaincy in December for his latest disciplinary breach, and didn’t play again for the Gunners after losing the armband. In the final stages of the January transfer window, Aubameyang’s contract was terminated by mutual consent, which later allowed him to later join Barcelona on a free transfer.

Following the 32-year-old’s exit, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are the only senior, recognised strikers left in Mikel Arteta’s squad until the end of the campaign. Although Sagna conceded that the current centre-forward situation isn’t ‘ideal’, the ex-Gunners right-back feels his former club made a ‘strong statement’ by parting company with Aubameyang.

Sagna added that Arteta selling Aubameyang meant that he showed how commanding he can be in the dressing room, how he can make decisions without worrying about repercussions, especially if they have to do with improving anything at the club.

Aubameyang has hit the ground running in Barcelona though, after netting a couple of goals so far, including a hat-trick in his last game for the Blaugrana. But, of course, the Gunners are expected to sign a replacement for him this summer or their too four chances will take a major blow.

How do sports clubs benefit children?

Throughout their youth, many youngsters develop various hobbies and learn what they enjoy and what they dislike. During this period, children may have the opportunity to participate in a sports club, either affiliated with or distinct from their school. When children have the opportunity to join a sports club, they benefit in a variety of ways that help them acquire skills, improve their health, and mature into self-sufficient individuals. Children will benefit throughout their lives if they establish social skills at a young age.

Minds and bodies in good health

Children and teenagers who acquire positive physical habits not only benefit their bodies but also improve their academic performance. Another significant benefit of sports clubs, which typically require a long-term engagement, is that young people who are healthy and active from an early age are more likely to remain so throughout their lives.

Self-esteem.

Sport and physical activity participants are more confident, according to studies. This is especially true in the case of children. Children can develop self-esteem by learning to rely on their own talents, receiving supportive feedback from coaches and parents, and accepting constructive feedback at sports groups.

Teamwork makes the dream work

Football and other team sports can teach youngsters the value of working together. It teaches kids that everyone has a role to perform and that they can only perform well together and find success if they have a trustworthy bond with their teammates.

Learning the value of teamwork will educate them that almost everything in life is easier and more enjoyable when done in collaboration with others.

Learn to lose

Winning in sports is never assured, and there will always be a winner and a loser in most sporting events. When participating in sports, every child is likely to encounter both sides. As a member of a team, kids will lose on time, and when they do, they must understand that losing is a natural part of life. Children can know how to handle the emotions that come with losing by participating in sports, which is a valuable skill to acquire and retain in the future.
